Jordi Labanda, born in Merdedes, Urugua began his career as a commercial illustrator in 1993 after studying industrial design.
He began to reach an international scale when his works appeared in The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Visionaire, Walpaper, Tatler, W, Marie Claire Latam, Vogue US and Vogue Italia.
Some of his corporate clients are JVC, American Express, Adidas, Chupa Chups, Manga films, Pepsi light, Gallery Korea, Dior and Target.
In recent years Labanda has had a major role in giving the media a decisive role in fashion illustration. He portrays his views with irony in design, fashion, architecture, art, human relations and social behavior. In HEY DAY, his first illustrated compilation, he provides a unique version on modern day life by using vibrant colours and elegant, which is the style he has created over the years.
