SAM John Napier - Costume/Set Designer
John Napier
Born March 1st 1944, John Napier has earned himself a great amount of awards from broadway to film, he has 5 Tony awards to his name and won the critics choice award for set design twice! First in 1989 for Miss Saigon, and again in 1997 for Peter Pan. He studied at Hornsey college of art and the central school of arts and crafts, Studying under the notable set designer Ralph Koltai. He earned a position as an Associate Designer at the Royal Shakespeare Company, His work includes Children of Eden, Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Miserable in London's West End. In the United States in addition to numerous broadway productions, he designed and co-directed the show for illusionists Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage in Las Vegas and also designed the Captain EO video starring Michael Jackson for Disney and the Steven Spielberg film Hook
