Stephen Jones burst into the London fashion scene during the late seventies during the era of street style. Jones was one of the era’s uncompromising milliners where he created striking hats of his own idiosyncratic design. In the early 1980’s Jones had opened his first millinerlly salon in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. Jones individuality inspired other designers to challenge stereotypes and social norms by using materials that were often extreme and designs that ranged from refined to bizarre. 25 years later, Jones evolutionary edge continues to attract a celebrity clientele including Marilyn Manson, Pink, Gwen Stephani, Beyonce Knowles and Alison Goldfapp. Jones has undertaken numerous individual high-profile commissions for pop groups, musicians, actors, and other celebrities.
